The name NEWair comes from a very simple, passionate concept: Anywhere. As a nomad multi-instrumentalist, my mission is to bring a fresh breeze of sound to unique spaces. Armed with portable power and a sophisticated looper setup, I can transform any intimate venue into a high-energy, full-band jazz lounge—as long as we have a roof to block the rain and sun.

An incredible dual-concept experience created by hospitality visionaries Dan Rodriguez and Adam Pykett.

• Canvas: A beautifully sophisticated, intimate space famous for high-end tapas and artisan cocktails. It’s the ultimate date-night spot where my live looper setup builds a warm, rich full-band layer, creating an exclusive jazz lounge feel.
• The Tailors: Right next door, this hidden speakeasy is a masterpiece for premium functions and exclusive private events. Having performed here multiple times, I can assure you that adding a live-looped jazz session to your private function here elevates the evening into something unforgettable.

    

2. Mr. Badgers & The Copacabana Club (Woolloongabba, Brisbane)

Another brilliant, interconnected destination by Dan and Adam that brings vintage Brisbane charm and moody, creative aesthetics together.

• Mr. Badgers: We embrace this unique, compact space by delivering a surprisingly massive wall of modern jazz sound that keeps the energy alive all night.
• The Copacabana Club: Connected to the venue, this space offers an incredible vibe where the energy of my live loops seamlessly transitions into a high-end club experience. Perfect for both casual nights out and premium table bookings.

3. Miami Marketta: Cargo Stage, Mona Lisa's Lair Champagne Bar & Gin Parlour (Gold Coast)

The absolute epicentre of the Gold Coast's independent art and live music culture. Under the brilliant leadership of Emma and the incredible spatial curation of Stage Artist Director Mella, Miami Marketta is a visionary playground.

• Performing on their legendary Cargo Stage is always an electric experience. But what makes this place truly magical is their exceptional design sense in exclusive spaces like Mona Lisa's Lair Champagne Bar and the sophisticated Gin Parlour. My live loop sessions are tailored precisely to match the deep, artistic, and immersive premium atmosphere they have created here.

4. Electric Avenue & Mrs J. Rabbits (Woolloongabba, Brisbane)

A legendary speakeasy bar that was previously under Dan and Adam’s ownership. This immaculate destination has been one of my absolute favourite regular venues. While ownership transitions can change performance schedules, this spot remains a timeless staple of Brisbane’s hidden nightlife. The sophisticated, old-world charm of Electric Avenue combined with the secret, mysterious vibe of Mrs J. Rabbits provides the perfect architectural canvas for a rich, modern jazz loop session.

              

5. The Raven Hotel & The Underground Cellar (West End, Brisbane)

A legendary venue with a fantastic, authentic local soul.

• While the main bar is great, the true magic happens downstairs in The Underground Cellar. As a regular performer in this historic cellar—which also hosts top-tier comedy clubs and regional hot spots—I've seen firsthand how this private, moody space becomes the talk of the town during exclusive private gatherings and late-night sessions.

6. Act I: Suite for 20 at The Imperial Hotel (Gold Coast)

Music is the ultimate acoustic architecture that can elevate a premium space into an unforgettable multi-sensory experience. A definitive milestone for NEWair Jazz Club was our ultra-private audio-visual installation, executed behind closed doors inside a luxury suite at the legendary Imperial Hotel Gold Coast (formerly Palazzo Versace).

• The High-Fashion Chemistry: Curated strictly for an intimate assembly of twenty VVIP guests, this exclusive session featured my deep Neo-Soul live loop deconstruction of Maxwell's classic, "Ascension." This session beautifully demonstrated how independent live-looped jazz serves as the perfect harmonic counterpart to high-end luxury fashion and elite private showcases.
• The Creative Collaborators: This milestone was made possible through an incredible alignment of visionaries, featuring exquisite curation and wardrobe by Wesson Store and Kiriaki, set against the immaculate backdrop of The Imperial Hotel. Beautifully captured and archived by cinematographer Erika Tatsumi, this session stands as a testament to what happens when independent music, premium hospitality, and luxury fashion perfectly collide.
